A playful, visionary, and curious spirit. An architect and designer, awarded the Compasso d’Oro nine times between 1955 and 1989 for his versatile and eclectic creations.
Among his many projects is Polet, a chair-bed designed in 1992. In 2021, Twils reissued this remarkable design. Polet is a bed that transforms into a chair—or rather, a throne, with its extra-high backrest, making it a delightfully ironic yet functional piece of furniture.
